   i was hooked from the start with these halo clix figures, amazing details, fun gameplay, and fun to collect. definitely worth picking up in my book. ive got about half of the first series of figures right now and working on collecting the rest. only downside i see is that they are not the most durable things, some are broken when you get them, but i suppose thats to be expected with such tiny figures with such details.

   It seems this product, Halo 3: Master Chief Kubricks has already become hard to find. Every store checked was either sold out, or was no longer carrying this item. I did find the item on Amazon and I can tell you that when it came my grandson who is 12 was very excited.

   Since then I have checked with most of the stores again including Game Stop stores who have told me they are out of stock and would not be re-ordered. There are pretty neat Kubricks and add to my grandsons collection.

   [...]The paint job on my figures was detailed and excellent. Kubricks are simply amazing, and Master Chief looks awesome standing side by side to my other legos. (Take note: he is about twice their size)

   The set comes with a battle rifle and two SMGs per Spartan, and yes you can remove the helmets (no face though). However, the Kubricks unfortunately cannot sit down very well. They also hold the weapons a little awkwardly. They are, though, pretty heavy for their size(a good thing) and very durable. I got mine to hold their weapons perfectly but it took a little work. They also can pose pretty well too but you just have to be patient.

   To summarize everything: an overall amazing product. If you like Halo, you won’t be disappointed. Great for displaying on your desk or giving to a Halo fan as they are pretty uncommon.

   This set contains four Master Chief Kubrick figures in four different colors. The colors include blue, red, green, and clear. There is also a rare black Master Chief chase figure. Sets that contain this figure will not contain the clear figure. In addition, the set also includes weapons for each figure. Included are 4 battle rifles (one per figure) and eight SMGs (two per figure). The set is packaged in a display box that gives a clear view of all four figures and their weapons. Each figure measures about 2.5 inches tall and resembles a large Lego style figure. Although these figures can be taken apart like Legos, I would not recommend it since they are not as durable as Legos.

   The overall quality of this set is pretty poor. The paint and detailing work is lack luster and could be seen as down right sloppy. Many paint related defects such as spots and blotches can be found throughout. The legs of some of the figures in my set were also stuck together from when the paint first dried and had to be gently pulled loose.

   The figures also seem to have been assembled with little care. The legs on some of the figures are uneven causing them to lean slightly when standing. In addition, some of the armor has also been put on poorly and requires some readjustments. The biggest problem with the assembly is the figures’ hands. First of all, it looks like two different types of plastics were used in producing the hands for the figures. One type is a hard plastic, and the other is a softer plastic. Visually there are only slight differences is appearance between the two plastics, but this creates a situation where some figures will have mismatched hands. In addition, the hands are also very loosely put on and can come off easily. This can pose a choking hazard, so these toys should stay away from young children. Care should also be taken to not lose any of hands.

   The overall playability of the set is low. They can only really be put in a standing position. The range of motion of the arms and legs are limited by the figure’s body armor. The figures are unable to fully raise their arms. In addition, the way each figure holds his gun looks somewhat awkward, especially when holding the SMGs. The lack of enemies also hinders the playability of the set.

   This set is definitely geared more towards a collector than a person looking to open up the set and play with the toys. If kept in the unopened display box, the deficiencies of this set are hardly noticeable. Only upon closer inspection can one really see problems. With an MSRP of around $20, I would expect the figures to look just as nice out of the box as they do inside. The bottom line is if you are a collector who plans to just display the figures in the box and never take them out, this set maybe a decent buy. For everyone else, this is a set to probably just avoid all together.

   My kids and I are Halo fans.

   At first view, these figures looked compatible with Lego and they are not. They are too big to play with standard Lego figures and bricks.
   The figures are nice and each come with 2 sub-machine guns and a battle rifle. We loved that.
   The only issue we found is that we were expecting to build vehicles and other things with Lego to go with these figures, but they are not compatible.

   My kids LOVE these…they interact with all their star wars legos, batman legos, etc!! These kubricks rock! Each comes with 2 weapons each…and they are very poseable just like legos or minimates!

   This toy is crap. About all the value you will get is in the aesthetics. They do look good and make nice noises. The problem is you have to be really close to hit someone, like within 10 feet or so. You also have to have the target visible. Other systems have the gun itself serve as the target. So if someone is running away from you shooting back at you, you still can hit their gun (the target). But with this system if you place the target on your front and turn your back to someone, you will never be hit. And of course they will do the same in all the twisting and turning running around. Its just stupid. Again, if you want something that looks like a Halo pistol then fine, spend your money. If you want something to serve as a laser tag system then look elsewhere.

    I purchased this mainly to set up with my Halo collection. It goes together great and the Plasma Pistols are very detailed but I had one issue, these aren’t the ones with the screens or the tops that pop open. These are “crapped down” versions. It doesn’t bother me to bad since I use them for display, but to people who plan to use them it could be a problem I suppose. Anyway, they do great at what I got them for. I would recommend these to any Halo enthusiast.

    I bought these for a kind of gag gift for my husband for Christmas after seeng people using them in an online video. The video made the guns look more durable than they are, and also the top vent popped when the guns overheated. The ones we got didn’t do that and the paint started chipping on them before we ever played with them. The sound works ok so far, but we haven’t used them for any serious gaming, more just to add to his Halo collection.[...].

    Although built out of the standard “toy gun” plastic, the functionality of the toy is great. The targets are fun to shoot, and you can even wear the targets (although quite bulky). For the sale price I purchased it at, it was worth it. The first set we had, however, died on Christmas day - the same day they were opened. But Amazon’s return and replacement were amazing as usual.

    The 4 stars in my review come partially from the fact that I bought them on sale for just over ten dollars with free shipping. Otherwise, I would give them a 3 if they cost more. Over all, safe and fun for Halo fans everywhere.

    Unfortunately due to the cold weather, my kids have only been able to play with this inside. They love it though! I can’t wait until it’s nice out and they really get to use it. It seems durable and they’ve used it more than many of their other gifts. The only downfall is the number of batteries it takes to operate.
